17世紀の Du Cange だけでなく、19世紀末の Godefroy も彼の辞書において『金持ちとラザロ』の作品を引用していることがわかったが、その引用の仕方にはさまざまな問題があることも同時に見出された。また、この作品が典拠として活用している Renclus de Moiliens の作品との対応関係を調べる過程で、両者のテキストの相違が興味深い点を含むことも浮き彫りにすることができた。語彙の歴史、地理的な観点からも、宗教用語にとどまらず多様な分野の用語に、従来の知見を補完する情報を収集することができた。ハイデルベルクの 『中世フランス語語源辞典』に校閲者として参加している松村が、今後この辞書に収めるべき用例を多数見つけることができたことは今後のフランス語史研究の発展に意義ある成果と言える。
