Verification of Chinese dictionaries from the standpoint of second-language learning

2007年3月17日在明治大学举办了“汉语词典的过去与未来”出版研讨会。该研究组织的所有成员都报告了2006年所做研究的结果。主题请参阅本报告中的“研究结果”。但是，对于“研究一个大家都感兴趣的主题，尚未以学术方式进行研究，许多与会者要求报告1）不仅要展示词典的验证和理想词典的建议，而且要展示理想描述的具体例子，研究电子词典。因此，在第二年，我们放弃了对“研究执行计划”中提到的一些项目的研究。“（然而，我们准备了作为研究基础的文件。）为了满足上述要求，我们在去年推进了自己的研究。结果如下所示。山崎为各种现象构建了本体，并展示了应用于词典的具体例子。三宅提交了描述各种同音异义词的统一标准和描述的例子。远藤从认知语言学的角度构建并展示了一个网络，该网络清晰地显示了重要多功能词的派生联想。新加入验证电子词典的研究机构的清原从学习者的角度调查了所有最新的电子词典，并提出了将电子词典作为学习工具的具体例子。2008年3月9日，在关西大学举办的第二届研讨会“词典的未来与未来词典”上发表了上述研究成果。

A publish workshop titled "Chinese dictionaries-their past and future" was held at Meiji University on March 17, 2007. All members of the research organization reported the results of studies done in 2006. Refer to the "study results" in this report for the themes.However, attitudes about "researching a theme of interest to everyone, which has not yet been researched in a scholarly manner," were highly evaluated by workshop participants.Many participants requested that the reports 1) show not only verifications of dictionaries and proposals of ideal dictionaries but also specific examples of ideal descriptions and 2) investigate electronic dictionaries. Therefore, in the second year, we gave up investigations of some items mentioned in the "Study Execution Plan." (However, we prepared documents which were the basis of the studies.) We advanced our own research in the previous year to satisfy the requests shown above. The results are shown below.Yamazaki constructed ontology for various phenomena and showed specific examples to be applied to dictionaries. Miyake submitted uniform criteria for describing various homophones and examples of descriptions. Endo constructed and presented a network which clearly showed derived associations of important multi-functional words from a cognitive linguistics viewpoint. Kiyohara, who newly participated in the research organization to verify electronic dictionaries, investigated all the latest electronic dictionaries from a learner viewpoint and shaved specific examples for establishing electronic dictionaries as a learning tool. These results were published at the second workshop "Future of dictionaries and future dictionaries" held at Kansai University on March 9, 2008.
