本研究は、美術教育における鑑賞領域の学習に焦点をあて、美術鑑賞における熟達化の特徴を分析しつつ、鑑賞スキルの効果的な学習方略を開発し、その有効性と課題を検証したものである。美術鑑賞はきわめて複雑な行為であるため、本研究では鑑賞行為が言語によって外在化された美術鑑賞文に考察の範囲を限定し、独自に考案した鑑賞スキルの指標によって美術鑑賞の熟達化の状況を明らかにした。さらに美術鑑賞文の作成プロセスにおいて鑑賞スキルをメタ認知するためのツールを取り入れた学習プログラムを開発し、その検証の結果、鑑賞スキルの学習方略としての有効性が示唆された。
