(前年度実績)質問紙の調査項目を作成。A市内において調査対象施設を選択し,施設ごとに介入群と非介入群,コントロール群に分けた。前年度から今年度にかけて,介入時期の前後に質問紙調査を実施した。調査対象者は,5歳児の保護者とした。調査結果は,1)保護者の能動喫煙・受動喫煙の害に関する知識は,事前調査に比べて事後調査は,介入の有無にかかわらず割合が高くなっていた。一部の喫煙の害に関する知識において,介入による有意差が見られた。特に知識は介入の前後にかかわらず,肺がん・妊娠への影響については認識しているが、胃潰瘍,心臓病,歯周病,中耳炎についての認識は低かった2)保護者の飲食店での喫煙・禁煙コーナーの選択に関する意識は,介入の前後では変化がなかった。3)保護者の喫煙率及び今後の禁煙希望は,介入前後または介入の有無による有意差はなかった。考察:幼児に教育した場合の保護者の禁煙・分煙行動への波及効果は,幼児向けの紙芝居を1回実施したのみでは,現われにくいことが示唆された。しかし今回の調査で,知識は,紙芝居による介入にかかわらず高まっていた。調査を行うことによる保護者の意識が高まったと考えられる。本研究により,幼児への紙芝居による教育内容から保護者へ波及効果はみられなかったが,幼児期に喫煙についてのアプローチをすることは,幼児及び保護者への喫煙に関する知識を高める影響があると思われる。今後,教育対象である幼児及び教育者である保育者などに調査を行い,教育効果を検討する必要がある。
