我々は,諸分野にみられる準結晶(準周期タイリング)の生成の仕組みを,n文字のサブスティテューションや,その拡張である自由度nの自由群上のautomorphismを道具として,力学系の視点からとらえようとすることを研究課題とした.これに対して,non-Pisot hyperbolic automorphismを用いて,複素Pisot数系という概念を導入することに成功し,その数系の上で,純周期的展開をもつ数の代数的特徴づけに成功した.また,5次unimodular reducibleサブスティテューションから,リーマン面上の準周期タイリングが生成可能であることを示すことに成功した.
