コンピュータ上での分子シミュレーションは、生命現象の分子レベルでの研究において、ひとつの科学実験の手段として認識されつつある。生理現象の根幹的役割を担う分子機械は、蛋白質や生体膜の集合体である。このため、現在主流の計算法では、周期的境界条件に起因するアーチファクトの悪影響が危惧される。本研究では、遠くの領域を平均化して三次元の繰り返しによる影響を排除した計算方法を考案し、実際の生体分子に対して適用した。
