BALB/cマウスに、ハプテンを塗布して用いて接触過敏反応(CHS)をマウスの耳介に惹起させその厚さを測定するとともに、惹起相で炎症局所に浸潤するリンパ球のフェノタイプ(CD4,CD8,CD25)の経時的な変化を免疫組織化学的に解析した。CD25陽性細胞は6時間後より認められたが24から72時間後にかけて増加傾向が認められた。一方、Foxp3mRNAの発現をrealtimeRT-PCRで測定したところ、その発現は惹起後6時間後より認められ、24時間後から72時間後にかけて強くなった。以上の経過よりCHSの惹起相における炎症反応の収束には制御性T細胞が関与していることが示唆された。Foxp3mRNAの発現の推移は耳介の厚さの変化に相関する傾向が見られた。またIL-16による制御性T細胞への影響は認められなかった。
