【平成21年4月～平成21年10月】:(小売企業への調査・研究成果のとりまとめ・学会報告)(1)小売企業および商工省へのインタビューとアンケート調査を実施した。さらに、アジア地域における流通革命に関連する調査結果の分析、専門雑誌による文献の収集、主要文献のレビューを詳しく行い、研究成果を論文としてとりまとめる作業を行った。(2)本研究の成果の一部を国際的な専門雑誌(査読付)に公刊した。Masayoshi Maruyama and Le Viet Trung(2010), "The Nature of Informal Food Bazaars : Empirical Results for Urban Hanoi, Vietnam," Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Vol.17, Issue 1, pp.1-9.Masayoshi Maruyama and Le Viet Trung(2009), "High Shopping Frequency of Vietnamese Consumers : Theory and Measurement," Applied Economics Letters, Vol.16, Issue 4, pp.411-415Masayoshi Maruyama and Le Viet Trung(2009), "Modern Retailing in Vietnam: Problems and Prospects," Proceedings of the All China Economics International Conference (ACE) 2009, Dec.2009, Hong Kong.特に、上記の論文(1)では、1986年のドイモイ(経済刷新)以降、計画経済から市場経済に移行するなかで、露天商や行商人による「未公認の私設市場」(informal food market)が急速に増加したが、このような私設市場の特徴と役割を理解するために、消費者行動をもとにそうした市場について実証分析を行った。その結果、消費者が私設市場を利用する理由として、店舗の近接性、価格の安さといった要因が有意であること、また、そうした要因を重視する低所得の消費者層は私設市場を利用する傾向があり、他方、製品の安全やサービスを重視する高所得層は「公設市場」(organized market)を利用する傾向があること、したがって、私設市場と公設市場は2つの異なる消費者のセグメントに対して商品を提供しており、それらは互いに「代替的」であるというよりは「補完的」な存在であることが明らかになった。現在、アジア諸国には、こうした私設市場を排除しようとする公的政策がみられるが、我々の実証結果から、私設市場を公設市場に完全に代替させることはできないといえる。そのため、食料品の流通システムとして低所得層向けに私設市場が果たしている役割に配慮した政策が別途、必要であるといえる。

The rapid growth of the informal food market, the characteristics of the informal food market, and the analysis of consumer actions. The results, the reasons for consumers to use the private market, the proximity of stores, the safety of products, the important reasons for intentional use, the important reasons for attention, the tendency of consumers with low incomes to use the private market, the importance of others, the safety of products, the importance of high-income consumers, and the "axiomatic market"(organized market) the tendency to utilize, private market, axiomatic market, consumer goods, alternative goods, alternative goods, complementary goods, existence, etc. Now, the private market is excluded from the public policy, and the private market is completely replaced. The circulation of food products is the result of low income market and the allocation of policies is the result of different ways and necessary policies.
