本研究は、介護老人福祉施設や介護老人保健施設等に勤務する介護職員のストレスを把握し、それらが燃え尽き症候群および離職行動へ及ぼす影響について、検討することを目的として行われた。調査の結果、介護の職務から発生するストレスのうち、「仕事の量的負担」「適切な評価の不足」「仕事の質的負担・範囲拡大」「適性への葛藤」として類型化されたストレスが、燃え尽き症候群へ影響していることが明らかとなった。
