2つのテーマ、(1)取りたて詞「だって」を含む文の語用論的スケール上の情報量を日本語児が計算できるかどうか、及び(2)統語的に確実に表層照応のひとつであると考えられる格標識付きstripping構文において、日本語児が正しく削除箇所を解釈できるかどうか、を実験により比較・検証し、発展させた。結果、(1)については、処理コストが軽減された質問法において、語用論的情報量に敏感であることを示した。(2)については、先行詞が量化表現である場合も、「自分」および空の変項を含む文について正しく束縛変項およびsloppy解釈をすることが明らかとなった。
