本研究は、埼玉大学が位置する「さいたま市内」の幼稚園・保育園に在籍する、外国人園児とその保護者が抱える共生に関する緊急のニーズを把握し、幼稚園・保育園などを含めた地域を総合的に支援するプログラムを開発し、より広域な範囲にも提案できるものとすることを目的として行った。具体的には、先進的な取り組みをしている幼稚園・保育園に聞き取り調査をし、多文化共生保育に関する保育者を対象とする研修プログラム、情報提供マップ、対話集の作成を行った。
