γ線を照射し、骨髄細胞を移植して1週間後のマウスの脾臓中に、多数のT前駆細胞が存在する事が明らかになった。このT前駆細胞はわれわれが胎児肝臓中に同定していたものと同じく、ナチュラルキラー細胞と樹状細胞もつくる。一方、成体胸腺中の最も初期の細胞も同じ性質を示す事が示された。これらの結果は、T系列とB系列は独立に、ミエロイド系列と関連して分化するというわれわれのミエロイド基本型モデルを実証するものである。
