ブタによる動物実で血管作動性物質である PGElやlipo-PGElの投与により胃管阻血部での組織血流量の有意な増加が認められ、PGEl群は投与終了IG分後で有意に血流量が減少したにも関わらずlipo-P6El群では、その作用は持続していた。さらに、lipo-PGEl投与群での組織血流量の持続時間の検討にて投与終了後120分でも血流量は有意に増加していることが認められ、lipo-PGEl投与がPGEl持続投与に比較してコスト的に安価であることが解った。以上より、lipo-PGElの陥欠投与によりQOLを損なわずに縫合不全のリスクを低下させ得る可能性が示唆された。
