人の海馬の記憶ダイナミクスを明らかにする目的で、計算論モデルと人被験者実験データを複合的に用いる研究手法を開発した。計測データをモデルの入力として与え模擬的な記憶を構成し、人の記憶ダイナミクスを明らかにする。結果として、脳波シータパワ増大時の視覚時系列を計算論モデルで解析すれば人の記憶成績が予測できることがわかった。ラットと同様、人でもシータ波を介した記憶貯蔵ダイナミクスの存在が示唆される。
