植物の光受容体であるフォトトロピンの光情報受容とシグナル伝達機構の解明を目指し、ヒメツリガネゴケをモデル系として研究を行った。これまでに、ヒメツリガネゴケのフォトトロピンを大腸菌、またはヒメツリガネゴケで発現させる系を構築した。今後、リン酸化活性の測定系、タンパク質精製系を改良することによって、フォトトロピンシグナル系の解析に有用な研究基盤になると考えられる。
