当年度は、第１に、昨年度の継続として、鈴木朖『言語四種論』（1803年頃成）の「テニヲハ」に関する研究を進めた。朖の品詞分類の１つ「テニヲハ」は、現代からすると雑多な集まりに見える。時枝誠記（1900-1967）による解釈が通説となっているが、それが誤りであることを昨年度の研究で指摘した（「鈴木朖の「心ノ声」―『言語四種論』読解―」『近代語研究』23、2022.9）。これを受けて、別の観点から朖の論理を解明することに取り組んだ。成果は近々発表の予定である。近世の「テニヲハ」研究は、現代の研究者が気づいていない視角を提供する可能性を秘めている。第２に、これも昨年度からの継続で、文法変化に関する一般的・理論的な研究の一環として「類推」に関する研究を行った。「類推」は言語学の基礎的な概念として自明視されているが、意外なことにＨ・パウル（1846-1921）、Ｆ・ド・ソシュール（1857-1913）以降、詳しい検討はされてこなかった。「類推」の中心的な装置である４項比例式の精密化を図り、亀井孝（1912-1995）の「群化」の概念と統合してその本質を明らかにした。研究成果をまとめた論文を近々刊行する予定である。第３に、中古語の副助詞「さへ」について研究を行った。古代語の副助詞に関する記述的な研究を継続的に行っており、これまでに「ばかり」「のみ」「まで」「より」についてそれぞれ研究論文を発表しているが、それに加わるものとして「さへ」を対象として研究を行った。「さへ」は従来「添加（または累加）」の助詞とされてきたが、その内実は必ずしも明確に把握されていなかった。その点を明らかにしつつ、意味的・統語的な特徴を指摘した。この研究成果は論文として刊行に至っている（「中古の副助詞「さへ」―〈添加〉の意味―」『国語と国文学』100(4)、2023.4）。
