外来放射線治療が増加傾向にある中, その看護援助には患者やその家族を含めた治療開始前から治療終了後の継続した相談・教育指導が必要となる.そこで本研究では在宅外来がん患者やその介護者を対象とした外来放射線治療患者の在宅におけるサポートシステムを構築した. システムの構成は, 在宅患者宅と施設側のそれぞれにパーソナルコンピュータ(以下, PC)を設置し, さらにそれぞれのPCにカメラボイスシステムを設置した.カメラは遠隔操作可能なカメラを在宅患者側に, 施設側は固定カメラとした.システムの内容は精神的サポート動作画面にはメールやカメラボイスシステムを用いて, 不安なこと相談したいことなど, 文字による訴えや, 言葉による訴えができる.カメラボイスシステムでは, 患者の声のトーンや顔色, 表情を観察することができる。苦痛症状スケールの入力動作画面では苦痛症状スケールSDS(Symptom Distress Scale)の各項目に該当する箇所にマークを入れ, 最後, 送信ボタンを押すと, 施設側システムに伝送され, さらに, 尺度計算を自動的におこない, 総得点が表示できた。身体症状に関するセルフケア動作画面、症状観察動作画面では、画像を取り込み視覚的に理解できるようにした
