项目摘要

近年、他者の行動に無意識的に同じ行動を取る同調行動が、他者への思いやりや円滑な関係づくりに重要な役割を果たしていることが指摘されている。そこで、本年度は行動の性質が同調行動に与える影響について調べた。6個体のチンパンジーを対象に、2選択の見本刺激課題を学習させた後、選択刺激が提示される直前にヒトが刺激に対していくつかの異なる働きかけ((1)選択する(Choose)、(2)払いのける(flip)、(3)手を引っ込める(withdraw))のビデオを提示し、ビデオ観察が刺激選択に与える影響を調べた。その結果、(1)選択する(Choose)の効果のみ、妨害効果として反応時間に影響することがわかった。このことから、チンパンジーは、他者の手の動きを観察した際に、ターゲットへの近接性を超えて、細かな手による表現についても影響を受けることが示唆された。同調行動については、ヒトを対象にした研究では、これまでタッピング行動を用いて自己のリズムがどのように外部刺激によって変化するのか調べられてきた。しかしながら、ヒト以外の霊長類では、こうした個体が持つリズムの特性についてはほとんど明らかになっていない。そこで、チンパンジーを対象に、電子キーボードを用いて、連続的にタッピングすることを学習させ、そのリズムについて調べた。3個体のチンパンジーを対象に、点燈した2つのキーを交互にタッピングすることを学習させ、タッピング間の時間(Inter Tap Interval)を分析した。その結果、ITIはほぼヒトのオトナが示す範囲(550ms-750ms)に類似することが示唆された。
