项目摘要

本年度は相互的利他行動の文脈を用いて以下の2つの実験を行った。(1)フサオマキザルにおける事前の協力が「お返し」に与える影響事前にパートナーが協力して被験体が報酬を得た場合と自力で報酬を得た場合を設定し、後のパートナーに対する「お返し」の回数が異なるかを調べた。結果、「お返し」の回数自体には条件間に有意な差は見られなかったが、「お返し」をするまでの反応時間を調べた所、6個体中1個体において、協力条件のほうが自力条件よりも有意に速く「お返し」をする行動傾向が見られた。これは、事前にパートナーに協力してもらい餌を手に入れた場合には自力で餌を手に入れた場合に比べて、後に役割交代をしたときにより速く相手に「お返し」をしたことを示す。このことから、少なくとも1個体においては事前に起こった事象に関する感受性を持つのかもしれない。他の個体で有意な行動が見られなかったことについては、長期にわたり協力実験に参加してきたペアを用いたことから、すでにペア間の頑健な関係が築かれており、今回の実験で行った各条件の事象はそれほど影響を与えなかったのかもしれない。(2)相互的利他行動場面を用いたフサオマキザルの協力寄与者の認識に関する実験本実験では、これまでのパートナーと新規なパートナーを用いて、それぞれにパートナーの様子が見えない状態で協力が成立する(あたかもパートナーが協力している)条件と、積極的に実験者が協力する条件を設定し、後のお返しの回数に影響を与えるのか調べた。結果、前者の条件では新規なパートナーよりもこれまでのパートナーに対する「お返し」の回数が有意に多かったのに対して、後者の条件ではパートナー間で差は見られなかった。このことから、フサオマキザルは単に「誰がパートナーなのか」ということにもとづいて「お返し」をしているのではなく、「協力に参加していたのは誰か」をある程度は認識している可能性がある。
