本研究では、「関係」と「予測対象」の関連性に着目して、与えた予測対象に対する着目すべき関係と、関係の予測対象における寄与度を明らかにすることを目的とする。平成21年度では、さらに、関係と予測対象に時系列要素を加えることにより、関係の変革と予測対象の変化の関連性を分析した。新聞記事(New York Times)から28年間(1981年から2009年まで)に渡る企業のネットワークを抽出し、これらの動的に変化するネットワークに基づいて企業の価値(例えば、RevenueやProfitなど)を予測した。具体的には、下記のような課題を設定して実現した。1、新聞記事から企業間関係の抽出:対象企業の新聞記事から、どのような企業がその企業に大きな影響を与えたかを数量化計し、企業の本質的な関係(Intrinsic Relation)のネットワークを構築する手法を提案した。新聞記事から企業同士の28年間に渡るネットワークを抽出することができた。企業の時系列的に変革するネットワークを俯瞰することで、企業の生まれ変わる関係性を読み取ることができる。2.動的変化するネットワークからネットワーク特徴量の抽出:ネットワークを与えると、対象企業のネットワーク特徴量(媒介性、近接性など)を抽出することができる。本研究では、動的に変化するネットワークから動的に変化するネットワークの特徴量を抽出する二つの手法を提案した。一つは、過去のネットワークの特徴量を利用する方法で、もう一つは、過去と現在のネットワークの変化からネットワーク特徴量の差を求める方法である。さらに、これらのネットワーク特徴量から予測対象に効く特徴量を選択する手法を提案した。3、企業価値の予測:企業の動的に変化するネットワークおよびそのネットワークの特徴量から、企業の価値を予測するモデルを提案した。予測結果の値は、実際の値の変化と似たような傾向をもつことができた。以上の研究を行い、システムを構築するとともに、ユーザー評価および更なる検証を行っている。
