本研究の目的は、R・G・ミリカンの哲学を手掛かりとして人間の自然的側面と文化的側面の関係を解明する統一的理論を構築することである。とりわけ、ミリカンの議論のうちでも未だ注目されることの少ない慣習(convention)についての分析に注目してきた。本年度は以下に挙げる二点の課題に取り組んだ。それぞれを基礎的・応用的課題として位置づけることができる。まず、基礎的課題として、慣習論における重要な基礎概念である共通知識(common knowledge)概念の精査を行った。共通知識は慣習論において基礎概念としての役割を果たしているが、この概念自体、必ずしも自明なものではなく、慣習論の文脈とは独立に議論の対象となっている。慣習概念の分析、ないし、共通知識概念を必要としない慣習概念であるミリカンの「自然的慣習(natural convention)」概念の評価に当たっては、共通知識に関する考察を深めることが不可欠である。この考察の成果は海外学会において発表した。また、現在執筆中の博士論文の一部を構成するものとなっている。次に応用的課題として、昨年度より取り組み始めたセックス/ジェンダーの脳神経倫理学に引き続き取り組んだ。セックス/ジェンダーに関連する脳の差異や特徴をめぐる科学研究と社会との関係において生じうる諸問題には、人間の自然的側面と文化的側面の双方が複雑な仕方で関わっている。本年度は性同一性障害という具体的な事例に焦点を当てた考察を行うとともに、脳科学リテラシーに関する話題の一環として国内学会でのワークショップにおける問題提起を行った。また、脳神経倫理学を専門とする国際学会においても発表・議論の場を得た。

The purpose of this study is to clarify the relationship between the bottom of nature and the bottom of culture and to construct a unified theory. The discussion of the convention is not focused on the convention, but on the analysis. This year, the following two topics were selected: The basic and practical problems are discussed in detail. A detailed examination of the concept of common knowledge is carried out in the context of important basic concepts such as: Common knowledge is the basis of habitus, the concept of self, the context of habitus and the opposite of argument. Analysis of Habit Concept, Common Knowledge Concept, Necessity of Habit Concept, Evaluation of Natural Convention Concept, In-depth Investigation of Common Knowledge Concept. The results of this investigation were reported to the Overseas Society. A part of the doctoral thesis is now being written. The topic of the second application is the beginning of the study of ethics in psychology. The difference between the characteristics of scientific research and the relationship between society and society is related to the problems of human nature and culture.
