In this project, we have developed teleoperated androids which have very humanlike appearance and verified the effects through experiments in the laboratory and the real field. Especially, we have studied adaptations of the operators and visitors to the androids in cognitive science and neuroscience. Further, we have developed and tested the minimum design of the teleoperated android based on the knowledge obtained in this project.
