Concerning the case of Minamata disease since more than 50 years after the official confirmation of the outbreak, this study has the object to re-evaluate not only social historical and institutional aspects but medical aspects of Minamata disease in order to clarify the current issues for victims and their families. Our research results have permitted the development of the base of Minamata studies by our original community based method and interdisciplinary approach. It allowed to clarify the current and future problems for the victims and local actors in the region, and to disseminate to the international community of our concerns.

关于自爆发爆发后50多年以来，关于Minamata疾病的情况，这项研究的目的不仅可以重新评估社会历史和机构方面，还可以重新评估Minamata病的医学方面，以阐明受害者及其家人的当前问题。我们的研究结果允许我们原始的基于社区的方法和跨学科方法开发Minamata研究的基础。它允许阐明该地区受害者和地方参与者的当前和未来问题，并向国际社会传播我们的关注。
