A Comparative Analysis of the Armenian New Testament Vocabulary and Compilation of the Armenian Thesaurus

本研究拟用基于语义域的希腊词汇分析古典亚美尼亚新约中所证实的全部词汇，为编写亚美尼亚词库提供亚美尼亚语数据库，有助于我们理解反映亚美尼亚人精神世界的语言宇宙。一个有趣的例子显示了亚美尼亚词汇项目和希腊词汇之间的语义差异，这是由属于“惩罚和奖励”语义子域的单词或表达来表示的。此外，古典亚美尼亚语特有的话语策略的一些特性，将使亚美尼亚人能够理解新约，并提供了对希腊数据的系统考虑。

The present study intends to analyze the whole vocabulary which is attested in the Classical Armenian New Testament with the Greek lexicon based on semantic domains and to provide Armenian data base towards compilation of the Armenian thesaurus which can contribute to our understanding of the Armenian linguistic cosmos reflecting their spiritual world. An interesting case demonstrating a semantic difference between the Armenian lexical items and the Greek ones is represented by the words or expressions belonging to the semantic subdomain of 'punish and reward'. Furthermore, some properties of the discourse strategy peculiar to Classical Armenian, which would make the New Testament comprehensible to the Armenians, are provided with systematic consideration of the Greek data.
