Basic studies on cut marks on animal bones excavated from archeological sites

本研究的目的是建立一种方法来阐明从考古遗址出土的动物骨骼上留下的标记的渲染方法和预期用途，并讨论动物资源如何实际使用的细节。我们观察了它们在渲染游戏时获取这些动物资源的渲染行为，也了解了骨头上留下的渲染痕迹。我们分析了既能观察人类活动又能观察人类活动留下的痕迹的材料，明确了“骨头上的痕迹”与“利用动物资源的目的和方法”之间的关系。

The goal of this research is to establish a methodology for elucidating rendering methods and intended uses from marks left on animal bones excavated from archeological sites, and to discuss the specifics of how animal resources are actually used. We observed the rendering behavior they use to obtain these animal resources when rendering game, and also developed an understanding of the rendering marks left on bones. We analyzed materials which allow observation of both human activities and the marks left by them, and clarified the relationship between "marks left on bones" and "the purposes and methods of animal resources utilization."
