For signal transduction related proteins, several factors essential for improvement of preparation system and the regulation of domain-domain interactions have been extracted. The effects of solvent and/or additives on the topology of domains and ligand affinity of whole-length proteins have been evaluated using SAXS, SPR, and ITC. The effects of solvent and/or additives on domain stability and structural changes have been interpreted using fluorescence spectroscopy and circular dichrorism.
