Importance of accessibility to child-care centers in balancing work and child rearing for working mothers

本研究以东京23个区为研究对象，考察了幼儿园的可达性，分析了幼儿园供给与需求之间的数量和空间不匹配。结果显示，东京23个区的许多地区的可达性值低于1，表明供应短缺。调查结果表明，儿童保育中心的可及性在平衡工作和养育子女方面发挥了重要作用。

Selecting Tokyo's 23 wards as the study area, this research examined accessibility to child-care centers which can indicate both quantitative and spatial mismatches between the supply and demand of child-care centers. The results showed that many areas of Tokyo's 23 wards had accessibility values below one, indicating a supply shortage. The survey results indicated that accessibility to child-care centers played an important role in balancing work and child rearing.
