A Comprehensive Study on Durer's Mathematics

I investigate the origin of the mathematical contents of the Institutiones geometricae of Albrecht Durer in the contexts of Greek, Arabic and Latin mathematics. I show the reception of the book in readers and the situation of the contemporary learning, comparing both editions. I focus upon the scientific instruments and the mathematical works cited in Durer's book. The influence of the book upon China shows that the book was world-wide, however I noticed the limitation of the book in the contemporary mathematical world. Last I show the usefulness of the book for the mathematical education in these days.
