今年度には秋田、群馬、茨木、静岡、長崎など全国に点在している白井作品をより多く訪問する予定でありました。ただし、プロジェクトの成立の過程を取材する予定でもあるので、少なくとも2度訪れることを予定していた。また比較を通して白井の独自性を把握するためにも、たとえば同時代の建築家の作品を訪問する。丹下健三によって実現した広島平和記念公園プロジェクトのコンペティションに白井晟一も加わっていたが、その案はまったく異なっていた。また、今年も論文においては日本における現代建築の保存の問題を扱った。1900年代の建築物の保存や都市の再生というテーマは文化的、あるいは経済的な観点から日本の建築界において中心になりつつある。保存を担う機関はこのテーマが厳密に設定され、生かされるよう問題を解決しなければならない。そのため、具体的なケース・スタディを重ねることも必要である。他の論文においては白井晟一の作品「虚白庵」の解体のケースでした。さらに、第3と第4の論文において、保護の1つの形態として移築を扱っている。篠原一男の作品の移築と白井晟一のそれを取り上げた。また上記の研究活動において多くの日本語文献の翻訳や通訳が必要であり、申請していた。最後に、本研究成果の発表ですが、近年ヨーロッパでは日本建築史に対する関心が高まっており、既にヴェネツィア建築大学、ミラノ工科大学におけるシンポジウムに発表者として参加する予定である。日本においても研究発表を予定しており、その1つとして白井晟一とイタリア建築家のカルロ・スカルパの比較に関する報告を行う。
