项目摘要

本年度は、(1)昨年度までに得たデータや資料をもとに博士論文の研究を進めつつ、アウトプットを出す活動、そして(2)比較の視点を開くためにアジア・バロメーターの分析ゼミナールへの参加を行った。(1)に関して、2010年度までにベトナム・ホーチミン市で実施した調査のデータや聞き取り情報の分析を行い、その成果を日本比較教育学会、日本教育社会学会、また国立教育政策所が主催する第3世界の教育研究会において報告を行った。さらに東京大学大学院総合文化研究科地域文化研究専攻が発行する雑誌『地域文化研究』へ投稿した論文は査読を経て、掲載が決定している。これらの研究報告では、ベトナムにおいて「条件のない青少年の教育機会」としてある生涯教育センターを取り上げ、そこでの学習者が実際にどのような青少年で構成され、どのような学習状況にあるのかの分析検討である。その結果、生涯教育センターには貧困などの家庭状況によって中退した青年が働きながら就学しているグループAと、正規課程において学業不振によってドロップアウトしたグループB、また芸術分野の習得を目指していたり病気等の多様な理由で就学しているグループCに分けられることが分かった。8月～9月にかけて1か月間現地に赴き、補足的にデータや資料を集めたが、それらも踏まえつつ、これら3つのグループの家族状況(特に親の学歴や教育関心)との相関を分析していくことが今後の課題であり、これが博士論文の焦点となると考えている。(2)に関しては、2003年～2008年にかけてアジア各国で実施されたアジア・バロメーターのデータを用いた比較分析を行ったうえで、台湾で開催されたワークショップに参加し、中国や韓国などから参加した若手研究者との研究交流を行った。博士論文の研究とは直接関係するわけではないが、研究代表者が今後アジアの社会学研究に携わっていく上で非常に重要な機会であった。
