Historical Consideration on the Non-White cube Gallery Space

本研究以现代艺术画廊空间设计为研究对象，特别探讨了非白色立方体画廊空间，它与当前流行的白色立方体空间背道而驰。通过分析现代艺术画廊设计的历史发展，包括白色立方体和非白色立方体，本文还探讨了空间设计对展示作品意义的影响。特别注意的是最重要的例子，非白色立方型，埃尔利西茨基的“抽象内阁”在汉诺威，德国。

This study focuses on the design of gallery spaces for modern art, investigating especially the non-white cube gallery space, which runs counter to the prevalent white cube spaces. By analyzing the historical development of gallery design for modern art, both white cubic and non-white cubic, this study also deals with the influence of space design on the meaning of the works displayed. The special attention is paid on the most important example of the non-white cubic type, El Lissitzky’s “Abstract Cabinet” in Hannover, Germany.
