In regard to "the right of access to environmental information", which is one of the ways of public participation for environmental protection, in the United Kingdom, it has succeeded to construct valuable system to disclose the environmental information to the public. It consists of "public registers" and "Environmental Information Regulation 2004". On the other hand, regarding "the right of public participation in environmental decision-making", it is not working correctly, especially in environmental permitting regimes, because of a result of implementation of the Better Regulation agenda and the way of participation.

“环境信息获取权”是公众参与环境保护的方式之一，英国在环境信息公开方面建立了有价值的制度。它由“公共登记册”和“2004年环境信息条例”组成。另一方面，在“公众参与环境决策的权利”方面，由于更好的管制议程的实施和参与方式的原因，这一权利并没有正确地发挥作用，特别是在环境许可制度中。
