The purpose of this study was to examine the learning environment and the learning processes of human resources engaging in clinical research based on theories such as workplace learning, experimental learning, and organizational learning. The main results obtained from literature review, field work, and interviews are as follows ; 1) the way human resource management is organized influences opportunities for learning in the workplace, 2) staff who engage in clinical research recognize and build their own roles in clinical research through interactions with other types of professions in their workplace, 3) they obtain their learning opportunities not only in their immediate workplace but outside of their own workplace by creating networks, and 4) basic training for beginners has become systematized ; on the other hand, the systematization may become obstructive to their future individual learning. These findings are important to establish future human resource development.

本研究以工作场所学习、实验学习、组织学习等理论为基础，探讨从事临床研究的人力资源的学习环境与学习过程。本研究透过文献回顾、田野调查与访谈，主要结果如下：1）人力资源管理的组织方式影响工作场所的学习机会，2）从事临床研究的工作人员通过与工作场所其他类型的专业人员的互动，认识并建立自己在临床研究中的角色，3）他们不仅在自己的工作场所，而且通过建立网络在自己的工作场所之外获得学习机会; 4）对初学者的基本培训已经系统化;另一方面，系统化可能会阻碍他们未来的个人学习。这些调查结果对确定未来的人力资源开发很重要。
