平成25年度も、24年度に引き続き、ドゥルーズの思想を「プラトニスムの転倒」という主題から再考するという作業を行った。より具体的には、1980年代にドゥルーズが論じた、絵画論や映画論が主な考察対象となった。というのも24年度の研究成果より、プラトニスムを転倒させるというドゥルーズの意図において、「時間」という問題が大きな論点となっているということが明らかになったが、80年代に書かれたドゥルーズの絵画論や映画論は、どれもこの「時間」という主題に結びついていると考えられたためである。時間を運動との関連で論じるのはアリストテレス以来の西洋哲学における伝統といってもよいだろうが、ドゥルーズはまさにこの古代ギリシアから連綿と続いてきた時間と運動の関係性を芸術作品、それもとりわけ20世紀になって大きく発展した映画という媒介によるイメージのあり方を通じて刷新しようとしていたのである。そこでまず、これらのイメージ論においてなにが問題とされていたのか、あるいは、なぜこの時期に相次いで芸術に関する論考が出版されたのかを考察した。この過程では、ドゥルーズが参照している、あるいは依拠しているテクストや作品群を分析する必要があったため、画家のインタビューや映画の理論書、および多くの映画作品をみずから参照しながらドゥルーズの論理を明確にすることが目指された。その後24年度の成果と付き合わせることによって、ドゥルーズの芸術にまつわる言説が、プラトニスムを転倒させるという彼の思想的意図といかにしてつながるのかを明らかにする作業を行い、プラトン的な時間のあり方とは異なる横断的な時間という論点を明らかにした。
