项目摘要

本年度は研究の最終年度として、次のとおり研究および成果報告を行った。まず、前年度までに分析・検討をすすめていた『庶物類纂』の編集経緯について、考察をさらに深めた上で、「『庶物類纂』編纂史の再検討」と題して口頭報告した。これは、稲若水が加賀藩の下で行った前半の編集と、丹羽正伯が幕府の下で行った後半の編集とを、従来のように切り離して見るのでなく、一貫した政策・事業として捉え検討することの妥当性と意義とを指摘したものである。本報告の内容の一部は、論文「稲若水と『庶物類纂』の編集」として公表した。次に、前年度までに調査した本草・博物関係資料群の書誌データを整理し、特に学者同士の交流関係に焦点を置いて分析した上で、「正徳・享保期の本草家たち― 師弟・交友関係を中心に」と題して口頭報告した。分析は必然的に中心地である江戸・京都の本草学統を追跡する結果となったが、同時に、そうした追跡のみでは捉えきれない独自の特色ある本草家が、各地域に点在することも改めて浮き彫りとなった。この点をさらに理解するべく、陸奥国伊達郡に活躍した医家である緒方蘭皐・小野隆庵の２名に特に着目し、東北大学附属図書館において両者の著作資料を調査した。上述の調査研究を通じて、最終的に、江戸前中期における本草・博物学史上の大きな転換は、物産研究の意義が国を益することにあると明言した稲若水、および『本草綱目』の会読によって関連知識の授受・共有を図った松岡恕庵という２名の本草家の学問姿勢に端的に象徴されるのではないかという見通しを得た。
