Communication support system based on navigating spatial behaviors of users by self-actuated chairs and desks

本作品探索了对话空间的互动活动模型，以及一种通过动态使用自推进式数字表来产生用户空间行为的交流支持方法。在该方法中，数字桌子和椅子根据估计的会话活动自动移动，通过改变它们的位置和组结构来创造一个舒适和更动态的会话空间。本工作可以建立6人对话活动的估计模型。此外，用户研究表明，桌子和椅子的运动显著影响他们的空间行为和印象。

This work explores to model interaction activity of the conversation space, and a communication support method that produces user's spatial behaviors by using dynamically a self-propelled digital table. In the method, the digital tables and chirs are automatically moved according to an estimated conversational activity in order to create a comfortable and more dynamic conversational space through changing their positions and group structures. This work could build the estimation model of the activity for 6 person conversation. Also, user study revealed that the movement of the table and chairs significantly influenced their spatial behaviors and impressions.
