项目摘要

これまでアゼルバイジャンでは、農耕導入以降の新石器遺跡は数多く調査されており、農耕開始直後の様相と、農耕が定着して地域色をもつ生業に定着する過程については、昨年度までに得られた資料から明らかにすることができた。今年度は、これまで知られていなかった農耕以前・過渡期にあたるダムジリ遺跡で、植物遺体のサンプリングを行った。ダムジリ遺跡の中石器時代と思われる層では、これまで選別作業を行ったサンプルからは栽培植物は見つかっておらず、農耕開始以前の様相を示すと考えられる。これにより、ダムジリ遺跡と、昨年度まで調査してきた新石器時代初期のハッジ・エラムハンル・テペ遺跡、新石器時代後期のギョイテペ遺跡の資料とをあわせると、アゼルバイジャンへ農耕が導入され定着していく過程を復元するのに好適な資料がそろったことになる。研究の成果の一部は、4月にウィーン行われた国際近東考古学会（ICAANE）で、アゼルバイジャン新石器時代の初期から後期にかけての栽培植物の変遷、そして動物遺存体や土器、石器などの人工遺物の変化と合わせた農耕生活の定着過程について発表した。7月にパリで行われた国際植物考古学会（IWGP）では、ハッジ・エラムハンル・テペ出土の資料を中心に報告を行った。起源地がはっきりしていない6倍体コムギがハッジ・エラムハンル・テペ遺跡から出土していることを報告し、アゼルバイジャン西部へ農耕が導入されたルートについて論じた。南コーカサスでの発掘調査は近年活発になってきており、イランのアゼルバイジャン州やナヒチェバン地域にかんする発表、またアゼルバイジャン銅石器時代の植物遺存体についての発表もあり、海外の研究者との具体的な議論を行うことができた。
