项目摘要

本年度は、(1)政治エリートやメディアなどによる争点のフレーミングの仕方の違いが有権者の分極化に及ぼす影響、及び(2)アメリカにおける政党帰属意識に関する既存の理論が現在においても妥当であるかの実証的な検討、の2点について研究を行ってきた。後者については、現在通説的な位置を占める、社会心理的な要因を重視する理論がエリートレベルでの分極化が生じる以前に確立されたことから、今日でもそうした議論が妥当であるかを探求することは有権者における分極化の諸相を知るうえで重要であると考え、研究を行うことにした。(1)については、前年度に引き続き政治家によるスピーチやテレビで放映される政治広告、新聞などのデータの収集を行ってきた。また、前年度に購入したデータを用い、アメリカの大統領選挙において候補者がどのようにテレビ広告を戦略的に用いているかを分析し、5月に日本選挙学会にて成果を報告することができた。(2)については、7月にアメリカの有権者を対象にインターネットサーベイを実施することができた。現在得られたデータを分析している最中であるが、これまでのところ従来の理論で指摘されていた社会心理的な近さに加え、政策的な近さや政党の支持する候補者への投票といった要因も政党帰属意識の形成に重要であることが明らかになっている。エリートレベルでは分極化の進展に伴い政党間の対立軸とイデオロギー的な対立軸が重なり合うようになったことが先行研究で指摘されているが、今回の調査の結果は、少なくとも一部の有権者の間では似た現象が生じていることを示唆しているといえる。

This year, we conducted research on (1) the polarization and influence of political parties on political disputes and (2) the validity of existing theories related to political party consciousness. The latter is important for the position of the current general theory, the establishment of the polarization of the past, the discussion of the current situation, and the understanding of the polarization of the future. (1)In the past year, the media has been invited to participate in the media, such as political advertisements, news reports and media collections. In May, the Japanese Election Society reported on the results of the election. (2)In July 2010, the company announced that it would launch a campaign against corruption. Now we have to analyze the most important factors in the formation of party consciousness, such as the recent increase in social psychology, the recent increase in political support, and the candidate's vote. The results of this investigation show that some of the phenomena of polarization occur in the middle of the night.
