项目摘要

平成28年度の研究実績の概要は、以下三点に集約される。１）平成28年6月から10月にかけて、ユーテボリ大学の訪問研究員として研究滞在を行い、王立軍事文書館などの関係施設にて史資料収集活動を行った。この活動により、スウェーデン王国政府における塩供給問題について、多角的な検討を行うことができた。特に、塩輸入・塩供給問題に関する法的整備の展開について、同国の水産経済政策や外交通商政策の観点から考察を深めることができた。２）『領事報告書』の分析を行う中で、ポルトガルにおける塩生産や塩輸出の状況について、スウェーデン領事がポルトガルの塩生産・塩輸出の状況についていかなる情報を有していたのかについて、一定程度明らかとなった。さらに、大北方戦争(1700-1721)中に活動していたリスボン領事が作成した領事報告書の分析を通じて、領事が有事の際にどのような活動を行っていたのかについて考察することができた。この成果の一端については、2017年5月に一橋大学にて開催される日本西洋史学会で報告することが決定しており、その際の批判をふまえて年内に査読誌に投稿することを目指す。３）研究が進展する中で、王国政府による塩供給に関する政策や関連する水産経済政策の問題について検討する必要が発生したため、該当する諸史料の分析も平行して行った。これにより、18世紀スウェーデンの塩供給問題が同国の経済政策、ならびにその構想過程において、いかなる議論が展開されてきたのかについて知見を得ることができた。本研究成果の一部については、2017年2月に一橋大学で開催された「歴史と人間」研究会における口頭発表、さらには法文化学会の論集に所収される論文にて報告を行った。このほかにも、『北欧文化事典』にて「北欧における製塩と塩輸入の歴史」などの項目を担当し、一般向けの研究成果発信についても随時行ったところである。
