项目摘要

今年度は、引き続き研究対象の台湾での滞在を中心にしながら、調査研究を進めた。主な成果は以下の通りである。（一）台湾での現地調査：台湾中央研究院歴史語言研究所、台湾史研究所档案館、国家図書館、台湾大学図書館等での文献資料の収集をまず行った。昨今は資料のデータベース化が急速に進んでおり、日本では収集できない重要な資料を入手することが出来た。また、文献資料とは別に、台湾での博物館や個人コレクションの調査も進展した。紹介により、普段は公開されていない作品を実見出来たことは、自身の調査にとっても大きな意義があった。また、資料収集家や当時を知る関係者の方々を訪問し、インタビューを行うことが出来た。（二）日本での調査：国会図書館、東京大学付属図書館等を中心に、日本での文献調査も引き続き進め、逆に台湾側であまり知られていない資料をいくつか入手することが出来た。また、朝倉文夫記念館、北村西望記念館等の訪問によっても新たな知見を得た。さらに、人からの紹介で、日本に残されていた植民地期台湾美術家の新たな資料・作品に出会うことが出来た。調査はまだ今後本格的に着手する予定であるが、現在においても多くの新資料を発見する余地があることが確認できた。（三）成果発表：今年度は、台湾での中国語口頭発表2回、日本での研究発表1回を行った。これを通じ、台湾現地の研究者から多くの意見を頂けたことは非常に有意義であり、外国語発表の経験を積めたことが大きな自信となった。（四）現地研究者との交流と協力：現地での指導教官の協力の下、台湾美術史の若手研究者と数人で、より具体的な共同研究・調査が始まったことも、今年度の成果である。研究対象とする美術史研究者数人とともに、博物館や民間の画廊などに作品調査に赴いたり、高齢となった美術家の遺族・関係者への録音インタビューなどに同行することが出来た。
