本研究では、象徴的である国際的な沿岸都市を対象とし、都市内レベルの様々な要因や特性において共通する空間構造と時間的誘因を同定することを目的とする。ケーススタディを通した都市の内部構造の同定により、都市機能の統合、交通パターン、社会経済的発展などに関係する空間的不均衡を見出し、そして理解することが可能になる。分析においては、特に、都市の発展に影響を及ぼした機会だけではなく、その潜在的リスクの評価も行うことが特徴である。空間構造の同定により、空間的差異を引き起こす主因の役割を明確化することができ、その結果、持続可能な都市開発への提言に寄与することが期待される。本研究では、都市間の比較分析を通して、構造の不変的な特徴や空間依存の特徴を抽出する。今年度は、社会人口構成に関するケーススタディを行い、クラスタリングに基づく分析手法を開発した。これまで分析を行ってきた大阪およびマルセイユのフィールド調査により、分析結果のさらなる検証を行い、都市化パターンやその動態への知見を得ることができた。これまでに開発した都市の基礎構造やネットワーク中心性の分析に加え、社会人口構成に関するケーススタディを行い、クラスタリングに基づく分析手法を統合した。フィールドとして、特に大阪およびマルセイユに焦点を絞り、分析結果のさらなる検証を行うと同時に、現地での知見に対する意見交換をニース大学の研究グループと行い、構築したモデルの修正を行った。それらの比較分析結果に基づき、ヨーロッパでの実務への還元策を模索するための検討も行った。
