本研究課題の当該年度における研究実績は2つある．まず1つ目は，母子世帯の親子を対象とした郵送調査を再度実施し，パネルデータの構築を進めた点である．これまで母子世帯を対象とした調査は少なからず存在したが，同一の調査対象を数時点に渡って追跡するパネルデータは管見の限り存在しない．パネルデータの構築により，より厳密な因果関係を統計的手法を用いて明らかにすることが可能となる．母子世帯の親子では，母親の就業状態や，公的支援制度の利用状況の変化によって，世帯の経済状態や子どもの学習環境がどのように変動するのか，そしてそこにはどのようなメカニズムが存在するのかということなどを明らかにすることが可能となる．そして2つ目は，既存の社会調査データを用いて分析を行い，その結果を112th Annual Meeting of American Sociological Associationにて報告したことである．この報告では2000年，2009年，2012年の3時点に行われた学力調査のデータを分析し，時代の変化を明らかにした．この期間の間，日本の母子世帯に対する公的支援は，ワークフェア型に転換したと論じられており，間接的にその影響を明らかにすることを目的とした．その結果，母子世帯は母親の従業上の地位に応じて，状況が異なることが示された．すなわち，母親が正規就労する母子世帯では，子どもの学力は経済的な問題によって形成が阻害される訳ではなく，親子の接触頻度など養育の問題が影響を与えている一方，母親が非正規就労する母子世帯の場合には，世帯の経済状態が子どもの学力形成を阻害していることが明らかになった．

The research achievements of this research project are 2 years. 1. The mail survey was conducted once again, and the construction of the family was carried out at the same time. This is the first time that a survey has been conducted on the same subject. A statistical technique for the construction of a causal relationship is used to clarify the possibility of a causal relationship. Parent-child relationship, employment status of mother, utilization status of public support system, social status, learning environment of mother and child relationship, existence, possibility, etc. The results of the 112th Annual Meeting of the American Sociological Association were reported. This report was carried out at 3 o'clock in 2000, 2009 and 2012, and the academic ability survey was analyzed. The mother's formal status in the mother-child relationship is detrimental to the child's ability to learn from the child, and the frequency of parent-child contact is detrimental to the child's ability to learn from the child, and the mother's informal status in the mother-child relationship is detrimental to the child's ability to learn from the child.
