项目摘要

新型コロナウイルスのロシア国内での蔓延とウクライナへの軍事侵攻によって，令和4年度においても研究はまったく進展しなかった。ロシアへの渡航ができないのはもちろんのこと，本研究に賛意を示し，現地での協力，助言等々をしてくれたロシア在住の関係諸氏との連絡もとりづらい状況が続いている。そのため本研究の継続は困難と判断し，已むなく廃止に至った。研究期間全体としては，モスクワの学校等への訪問及び現地の各種教育関係者や生徒へのFGI，ロシアの教員らを招いての日本の中学校視察と研究協議を通して，日露双方の前期中等教育段階の読書実態と学校読書環境に関する実態の調査と両国の比較を行うことができた。読書冊数や不読率等の量的な側面の改善に偏向する日本の読書教育とは異なり，ロシアでは量と質の両面の拡充を進めていこうとする姿勢があり，両国の読書教育に対する向き合い方の違いが明らかとなった。特に，教養主義的な価値観が大切にされているロシアにおいては，日本で失われつつある「洗礼本」が国主導で整えられており，また「文学」の授業の重要度も高い。「文学」の授業を核とした洗礼本，特に19世紀から20世紀にかけての自国の古典名作に触れる機会の保障や「文学」授業と生活読書とのリンクもしっかりしており，国語科における読みの授業と日常の読書活動が乖離し，「読書対象・読み方・読書観」のライト化が進む日本とは大きく異なる点が浮かび上がった。ロシアの読書教育は問題点も多いが，日本の現状を改善する上で参考にできる点は少なくない。こうした成果は，文化庁主催の国語問題研究協議会の読書部会や石川県教育委員会の教員研修会や教員免許更新講習等において発表するとともに，論文「読書量・不読率改善の陰で低下する中学生読書の質」及び「読書の量と質を保障するロシアの文学教育」にまとめて配付・共有し反響を得た。
