ソ連体制の崩壊以後、新たな資料の利用も可能になり、市場経済の浸透という状況を背景にして、歴史的先例として、帝政期の企業・企業家に対する関心が高まっている。本研究の具体的な目的としては、(1)従来の諸研究を検討して、ステレオタイプ的な見方を排し、日露比較の視角から、帝政期ロシアの企業・企業家研究の視座を確定し、(2)新たな資料を収集・分析する中で、(3)具体的な企業・企業家を取り上げてケーススタディを行うことによって、(4)欧米とは異なった発展経路を辿ったロシアについて、従来の諸研究にはない新たな認識を付け加え、ロシア社会をより正確に、より深く理解する上で貢献することを目指す。又、日露比較経営史の視角からの研究は、両国の相互理解に資するものである。このような全体計画の下で、平成14年度は、平成12・13年度に引き続いて、帝政期ロシアの企業・企業家に関する文献・資料の収集・分析、及びロシアの企業・企業家の行動様式を分析する際の視座を確定する上で必要と思われる日本(そして欧米)経営史関連の文献の収集・分析を行った。具体的には、Свод отчетов фабричных инспекторов 3а 1900-1914, Спб., 1900-1915, Петров, Ю.А., Коммерческие банки Москвы конец 19в.-1914, М., 1998, W.C. ＆ Anan'ich, B.V. ＆ Petrov, Y.A., Commerce in Russian Urban Culture, 1861-1914, Woodrow Wilson Center Press, 2001等々である。これらの文献・資料を分析して、ケーススタディとして、モスクワのモローゾフ家やリャブシーンスキー家、そしてサンクト・ペテルブルクのプチーロフ会社の企業活動について、おおまかな概要を把握した。その成果の一部として、「研究発表」に示した論文を作成した。
