本年度はモンゴル国のウランバートル市とホブド県において調査を行なった。具体的には現地調査と文献調査という2つの段階によって構成された。文献調査は、１月26日～2月3日と3月7日～13日の間でウランバートル市において実行し、モンゴル国におけるオイラド・モンゴル研究関連の文献資料を収集した。一方現地調査は、2月5日～3月5日の間でホブド県において実行した。そのなか、ホブド県領内に分布する寺の遺跡に対する悉皆調査と現存する寺に対する悉皆調査をした後、当県の各寺のなかで総本山にあたる黄寺において参与観察を行なった。調査成果をまとめると、以下のようなことが明らかになった。第1に、当県領内に分布する寺遺跡の正確の位置と数を確定することができた。1924年にモンゴルにおいて社会主義政権が誕生した後、1930年代末期から宗教弾圧が開始された。要するに、当県のウリヤンハイ、ザハチン、トルグド、ミンガド、ホシュドとウールドなどのオイラド・モンゴル系集団が分布する地域にあった合計27の寺が、宗教弾圧によって破壊されたことが明らかになった。第2に、現存する寺は、リゲムビル寺、マイドル・ゲゲン寺、ラシゴンゼグ寺、ダシャチョインホル寺、テグチェンチョインホル寺、トグーメル・アマルジューラグチ寺という6つである。こうした各寺は、モンゴル国において民主化が進んだ1990年代中後期以降に再建されたことについて、聞き取り調査から分かった。第3に、黄寺の基本的情況を把握した。黄寺は、2011年に現モンゴル国大統領の顧問を務める資産家のA氏が主体となって資金を集めて建設されたものである。調査を通して、当寺の建設費用の出所や総規模額を含む建設過程、僧の教育システム、寺の管理体制や主な収入源、仏像の構成や招来の概要、座の配置、供物・金銭の管理や分配、法要の日程と内容、巡礼者や協力者の概要を把握することができた。
