项目摘要

本研究課題は南琉球八重山語石垣島白保方言の記述と，琉球諸語のデータをもとにした類型論的な研究の2つからなる。本年度は白保方言の記述と類型論的な研究の論文化を行った。まず，白保方言の記述に関しては英語で文法概説を執筆し，日本語でより詳細に体系的な記述を行った。文法概説については，日琉諸語の文法概説集の章を担当し，白保方言の文法の概要について示した。この本は，2022年9月にBrill社から出版される予定である。次に，博士論文として白保方言の文法の記述を行った。これは，コロナウイルス感染症の影響により追加調査が見込めなかったため，これまでに得ていたデータのうち主に談話データをもとにして，可能な限りの記述を行った。詳細が明らかにできない箇所については，琉球諸語のほかの地点の記述から関与する可能性のある事項を挙げ，必要な調査について述べた。このように，白保方言の記述を行って形にすることはできたが，不足しているデータを補うために今後保管調査を行う必要がある。類型論的な研究については，琉球諸語の形容詞の通言語的な特徴についての発表を2件行った。1件は琉球諸語の形容詞の重複形について，通方言的にどのような共通点と相違点が存在するのかを明らかにするものである。これについては学会発表を行った後，論文化して『日本語の研究』に掲載された。もう1件は琉球諸語で広く見られる形容詞の諸形式（「高くする」のような場合に現れるク形，「高さ」のような場合に現れるサ形，重複形）についての整理を行うものである。これらはこれまで先行研究のデータをもとにしてきた。今後はその成果をもとに，画一の調査票を使って各方言のデータを得ていく必要がある。
