项目摘要

本研究の目的は技能実習生が継続的に日本語学習する環境要因について学習動機との関係から明らかにするものである。２０２２年度は初年度ということで、第二言語習得における学習者個人の学習動機に関する理論的な文献調査および、日本語学習者の学習動機に関する先行研究の調査を行い、研究課題の抽出を行った。この文献調査とその結果に関しては、先行研究レビューとして研究ノートを執筆し、その論文は2022年3月に発行された。また、2023年度の技能実習生に対するインタビュー調査と質問紙作成の計画に向けた準備を行った。まず、すでに調査協力に前向きな回答を得ていた熊本県の実習生受け入れ機関を訪問し、ヒアリングおよび調査協力の打診を行った。ヒアリングでは、技能実習生の日本語学習の学習意欲が落ちる実態や学習を希望する実習生等について、受け入れ機関からの視点による実態について情報を収集することができた。そして、調査協力について何度かの協議の結果、12月には、受け入れ機関（熊本県）で技能実習生のインタビュー調査を実施する調査協力の内諾を得られたものの、２月に正式な依頼をしたところ合意を得ることができなかった。ただし、熊本県の技能実習生の入国前研修を行う茨城県の学院を紹介してもらい、その学院に何度かの訪問を重ね、話し合いをした結果、茨城県で実習に従事する技能実習生への質問紙配布による調査協力の内諾を得ることができた。また、従事する農作業によって質問の聞き方も異なるため、学院で学ぶ技能実習生の就労生活についてヒアリングをし、質問紙でどのような質問を作成すればよいのかある程度のイメージを描くことができた。
