项目摘要

2022年春、科研費採択が決まって以降、研究代表者は必要文献を集め、大阪大学のモハンマド・モインウッディン先生と研究討議を重ね、1945年頃の日本ペンクラブ再結成当時の状況について、これまで不明だった事項を、次第に明らかにする手続きを積み重ねた。この研究の過程で、「1945～1949年までの、（外務省を設立母体とした）戦前期日本ペンクラブ、（中国国民党系知識人を設立母体とした）中国ペンクラブ」の対抗関係だけではなく、「日本ペンクラブを再結成させようとした、連合国軍総司令部とここに帯同したアメリカ人ジャーナリスト」の、「共産党員除名」「アメリカに拠点を据えていた中国国民党との連携の有り無し」などの基本的智識を、正確に踏まえながら、新資料を検討する必要が生じた。この必要をうけ、研究代表者は大阪大学招へい教員の杉田米行先生に、“The Role of GHQin Shaping Japanese Diplomacy from 1945 to 1949”というテーマでのオンライン講演を依頼。杉田先生は無給でこれを了承。さらに、聴衆にダッカ大学日本学部の学生を呼び、ディスカッサントにはダッカ大学日本学部教員、シェフィールド大学教員を招いた。2022年12月4日、このオンライン研究会は盛況のうちに終了した。上記研究会が盛況であったこと、さらなる研究討議の必要と要望があったことをうけ、研究代表者は、2023年3月31日、シェフィールド大学の崔徳孝先生を講師として、新たに“Rethinking Imperial Legacies and The Cold War in Allied Occupied Japan”というオンライン講演・研究会を開催。この時も、聴衆にダッカ大学日本学部の学生を迎え、阪大助教がさらにディスカッサントになるなど盛況であった。
