项目摘要

文部科学省供与教材“Let’s Try 1!”“Let’s Try 2!”を分析し，掲載されている学習活動をつなぐ活動や発展的な言語活動，様々なタスクや単元のゴールとなる活動等を考え，単元の構想を練った。どのような課題解決型授業が可能であるかを考えながら，授業案を作り，その中で使用される英語をリストアップし，どこにどのようなICTを活用した個別練習用補助教材が必要であるか構想を立てた。中学年の児童が構想中の補助教材をうまく活用できるか確認するために，近隣のA小学校第3学年の1クラス（児童数35名）において，1単元（4時間）の授業内でその単元に対応した補助教材を数回使ってもらった。各児童はデバイス上でその補助教材を使ってモデル音声を聞きながら個別練習をし，自分の発話を録音して確認し先生に送るという活動を行った。単元終了時に児童31名からこの副教材を活用した個別練習に関する質問の記述回答を得た。多くの児童が個別にモデル音声を確認できることや自分の録音音声を確認できることの効果に言及しており，児童の反応はおおむね良好であった。また授業中の児童の行動や発話の観察から，中学年でもICT教材を活用しながら個別に練習し，自分の録音音声を聞き返して改善する様子が確認され，ICT教材を活用した自己調整学習の育成の可能性を見出すことができた。また授業者からその可能性について好評価を得ると同時に，問題点や改善点について意見を収集した。児童が発話した英語を評価する個別練習用のe-learningシステムについて，既存のプラットフォームを検討したところ，中学生以上で活用されているHello World社のWorld Classroomが，発話者の音声を認識して評価し，指導者がそれを確認できるというシステムを搭載していることから，今後はそれを活用して研究を進めることにした。
