令和4年度は遍歴期ラーバントの学問形成の検討に充てることを目的に以下の研究を実施した。まず、主要な課題として予定した連邦文書館ベルリーン分館所蔵のラーバント関連文書に残存する両親宛ての書翰の翻刻・検討を進めた。この作業により、初期ラーバントがローマ法学者のファンゲロウを始め、ツェプフル、モール、ルノー、ゴルトシュミットとの私的および学術的交流のもとに自己形成したことが確認されるともに、各人物の講義に対する概略的な評価が明らかとなった。また、当該簿冊にはライプツィヒ大学のゲルマニスト、アルブレヒトの書翰が残存しているが、関連するラーバントの書翰からは彼がライプツィヒで教授資格の取得を目指すことも有力な選択肢であったこと、かつそれが父の希望でもあったことが判明した。このことは既にシュトルアイスによって明らかにされたようなラーバント父世代のユダヤ系知識人階層におけるリベラルな志向を伝え、ラーバント理解の有力な補助線を提供する。上記と並行して、初期ラーバントの学問業績の検討を進めた。特に船荷証券や仲買に関する論攷はローマ法学とドイツ法学を越境的に検討する巧みな法律構成の力量を示しており、これまで指摘されてきたイェーリングの法学方法論の順接的受容が確認された。更に、取戻権に関する論攷からは公法／私法の越境が、通常指摘されるような一方的な転用ではなく、寧ろ双方向的なものであったことが明らかとなった。このことは公法学者ラーバントのその後の発展を観察するに際して、その都度の商法分野の論攷とセットで検討することの必要性を強く示唆するものである。その他、中世盛期以降の法書の校訂作業について検討を行ったが、これについては現状で十分な知見を獲得するに至っていない。
